What to Expect in Your First Online Therapy Session
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially online. You might wonder: What will happen? Will it feel awkward?
Your first session is really just an opportunity to meet, share what’s bringing you to therapy, and get a feel for how we might work together. There’s no pressure — it’s about exploring whether it feels like a safe space for you.
We will go over in more details what to expect during our free consultation.
During the session, we’ll talk about your goals, what’s challenging you, and how therapy can support you. I’ll explain how I work, including how we might use somatic exercises or explore different “parts” of yourself using IFS. By the end, you should have a clear idea of what ongoing sessions might look like — and whether it feels like a good fit.
The fee for individual sessions is £70 which is payable by bank transfer.
Remember: there’s no right or wrong way to start therapy. Just showing up is the first step towards clarity and healing.
