Hello I’m Ines Knezevic

I chose to become a psychotherapist not only because I’ve always been curious about people and the stories we hold inside, but also because of my own journey through hardship, healing, and self-discovery. Travelling and living abroad opened my eyes to the beautiful differences and shared similarities in how we all experience life — the challenges, the emotions, and the resilience that connects us as human beings. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it’s not always easy to open up to friends or family. What I love about therapy is that it offers something different — a space that’s just for you, where your experiences are met with compassion and without judgement. I’m passionate about creating a space that feels safe, understanding, and allows people to be vulnerable and authentically themselves.

A little about me

I have completed a Bachelor’s degree (Psychology) at the university of Sheffield, a Master’s degree (Counselling and Psychotherapy) at the University of Leeds, and I am an individual member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My training is in an integrative approach, which means I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all way of doing therapy. I draw on different approaches depending on what feels most useful for you. At the heart of my work is a client-centred relationship — I see therapy as a collaboration where we move at your pace

I also like to bring in somatic awareness (paying attention to the body, not just the mind) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps us understand and care for the different “parts” of ourselves. Many clients find this opens up new ways of connecting with themselves and finding healing.

Outside of my work, I enjoy painting, gardening, being physically active, travelling and admiring architecture in new places and spending time with my cat (who often pops in to say hello during sessions!). These practices remind me of the importance of balance and self-care — something I also encourage in the people I work with.

My hope is that, in therapy with me, you feel safe enough to bring your whole self: the parts you’re proud of, the parts you struggle with, and even the parts you’ve hidden away. Together, we can gently explore your experiences and support your journey towards greater clarity, self-acceptance, and wholeness.
